Emily Blunt and John Krasinski stepped out for a surprise, very public date night at tonight's Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. Emily, like Cara Delevingne and Zendaya, opted to lean into spring florals ahead of the new season.

She wore a red bandage dress by Oscar de la Renta with a vine of pink blossom embellishments going up the gown. She accessorized with a diamond choker and wore her blonde hair down in soft waves. Pink cheeks and a red lip completed the very feminine look.

Her husband let her take the spotlight, wearing a more muted but still dapper dark pinstripe suit alongside her:

Emily and John have been out of the public spotlight for the most part over the last couple months. But John did speak in December to Parade about Emily's impact on him. “I wouldn't be anywhere in my life without her,” he said. “On a daily basis, but certainly in a career-wise, as a dad, she pushes me to be better every single day at everything I do. So I look forward to the next day cause I know it'll be better than the one before.”

And Emily used her platform to address how Hollywood writes for women, speaking in November to The Telegraph about her distaste over the “strong female lead” label.

“It’s the worst thing ever when you open a script and read the words ‘strong female lead,’” Emily said, while promoting her series The English. “That makes me roll my eyes. I’m already out. I’m bored. Those roles are written as incredibly stoic, you spend the whole time acting tough and saying tough things.”
